RELEASE: Within the Darkness
Hello friends. I wanted to share my latest music with you. It’s decidedly quiet, laden with textures, gentle harmonies, sweeping piano and a few delicate beats for good measure. If you enjoy it, please consider sharing it with your friends.
Cheers to Caleb Kimbrough for the album cover.

A new song by dep is available on “New Weird Asheville, Vol. I”
NEW Asheville underground music collective Swamping has released its first compilation & I have a new song on it.
The song is actually a completely re-engineered and re-imagined version of an old favorite of mine from Nothing to Undo : Nothing to Redo (here’s a link to that album) called SOS. Hats off to Swamping for putting the compilation together. Go check it out!
“SWAMPING is conceived of by Christian Church and Spooky Bubble of Alligator Indian, SWAMPING seeks to unite Asheville’s underground musicians, artists, writers, filmmakers, and designers in the hopes of creating a stronger and more vibrant scene and community in Western North Carolina.”

RELEASE: The Wellness Prologues
Hello everyone. Perhaps it’s the weather, or perhaps it’s these pain pills that I’ve been on to get over a badly bruised tailbone, but I decided to put together an ambient release. I’ve always liked the idea of doing a proper ambient release, but I always start a track and then get completely carried away with it. Writing ambient music forces you to stay within the lines, and I like that about it. It takes a bit of discipline to do that — at least it did for me. At the end of the day, I ended up with a release called The Wellness Prologues.
There are only four tracks, so it’s decidedly a pretty short release, but the tracks are pretty lengthy. The entire thing probably clocks in somewhere over half an hour. I hope you like it. Good rainy day music, perhaps.
Tracklist:
01. Swiss (9:32)
02. Markers (6:43)
03. Everest (7:11)
04. Glass (8:23)
You can download this new release, as well as any of my others, by going here. As always, thanks for listening.
Thanks to Randy Link for the photography.
