This might be a little bit late coming (it’s almost March, after all), but I haven’t done a proper update in a while and, since I still consider it a new year, I figure I should just do a recap of 2012′s notable moments.

In January I remixed and made a video with my brother for Bon Iver’s Perth. That video is here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQHrBXxqzhM

In May I did a project called Mayday in which I wrote, recorded and released a song each day for a month. That project is here. http://dep.fm/project/mayday

Also in May I co-wrote and recorded, with my friend Kie as The Night Lights, a single called ‘We are the waves of the ocean.’ You can hear it here https://soundcloud.com/4thenightlights/we-are-waves-of-the-ocean

In July I started remastering old albums and re-released them. You can read more about that and download those albums here: http://dep.fm/2012/07/02/the-remastering-is-done/ — There’s actually a 900mb ZIP file in the post that lets you download them all at once, which is nice.

Also in July a song of mine was used in a Valve SourceFilmaker video which went viral and sent me a ton of new listeners right around that time. You can see the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kAf-XOpDgQ

In October a had a major release of an album called Rivers & Ghosts that was mastered by Brian Lucey of such fame as The Shins, Sigur Ros, The Black Keys, Eric Clapton and others, that you can hear/download here: http://dep.fm/2012/10/26/release-rivers-ghosts/

Also in October I remixed a tune for stephaniesid called Multiply. You can hear it here https://soundcloud.com/dep/multiply-by-stephaniesid-dep

Also in October I remixed a tune for Paper Tiger called Lost & Found. You can hear it here http://papertigerband.bandcamp.com/track/lost-found-dep-remix

In November I did a score for a documentary called Flight of the Mind which you can hear here http://dep.fm/2012/11/20/flight-of-the-mind-score/

In December I wrote a tribute tune for the victims at Sandy Hook called “our hearts are broken but our spirits are strong” You can hear it here: https://soundcloud.com/dep/newtown

Also in December I had a show here in Asheville at the Moog factory, which was super exciting and a real honor. That stage has seen some great acts.

I spent a good chunk of last year working on another film score for a short that is still in production. That will be out courtesy of that studio at some point in the near future.

All of my music is also on Spotify, per usual! http://open.spotify.com/user/justdep/playlist/4dggwxbooucIY2hBp4wSQu
