Start Loving the Robots was a coming of age release for me. It marked a new era of maturity in my songs, but also contained many shining examples of experimentation with various sounds and song structures. With it, I also continued my love affair with Renoise and a dedication to musicality. I worked long hours to polish this album in to something accessible and interesting, and was definitely, in my opinion, worlds beyond anything I had done up to this point. Commercially, Start Loving the Robots, is my most successful album to date, and I’ll always have a soft spot for it.

The music was originally released on little USB robots that have now all been sold, but it was a fun way to play with distribution.

a fabulous release concept that follows the theme through to what can only be described as photo-storytelling.
It been very easy to fall in love with dep’s sound over the years but with this release he takes it out of the back room and straight into your heart.
Buy this for someone and they will never forget you for it

Great stuff, man. I really enjoy the sound. Keep up the good work. Great idea with the USB drive release. I think I’m going to use that on our next release. Who needs tiny plastic circles anyway?
